Learn Adobe Illustrator for footwear design! Crafted for beginners who wish to learn
and grow their CADing skills. This is also a great class if you want to practice and
improve your Illustrator skills. Illustrator is the most widely used program in the
footwear industry currently. You will learn to work with new design tools and
assets to make your footwear ideas come to life. This is a great program if you’re
looking to design better, faster and with more creativity.
This is a 2 day program with 3 hours each day with a few breaks in between. The
goal is to get you to be comfortable with the program and eventually be able
to confidently CAD your own projects.
About the instructor:
Christine Pham is a Senior Designer and Manager for children’s footwear for big
brand names in the US including Oshkosh B’gosh and Stride Rite. She has been
in footwear for 7+ years. Majoring in Economics and French, She is living proof
anyone can design.
Materials to Bring: Students should be able to bring their own laptops to work on
with the program installed.
DAY 1: Intro to the program. Learning key tools and assets to be used and
understanding how it relates to footwear.
DAY 2: Practice CADing. Students should bring in their own designs to CAD and
practice on. We will also go into learning how to spec and prepare a techpack
in Illustrator.
