Leather Belt Making with MWR Studio

Join us in designing and crafting your own artisanal leather belt with Mia Wright-Ross, the founder and creative director of MWR Studio. In this 4-hour / two 2-hour class, you will gain knowledge of belt leather qualities, adhesives, edge painting, machine and hand-stitching techniques, metal hardware application, and other techniques which will ultimately increase your appreciation for the craft, whenever you wear your very-own hand crafted leather belt.

1-2 sq ft of veg tan belting leather (6-8oz), hardware and tools included in the course.

You will use tools such as: Strap cutters, oblong tools, center bar buckles, heatable edge paints, exacto/olfa blades, erase-able pens, Ysoldering iron, sand paper, edge painting roller pens and tubs.

You will learn where to purchase some tools, and get to try out some of the teacher's in class.
