Instructors for this course is Richard Siccardi and Elena Marradi from Studio Arise-s in Vigevano, Italy, where the luxury footwear manufacturing happens nearby.
Elena Marradi has a decade of experience in material research, trends, and product development. She leads the Arise.S Material & Research team with her undeniable analytical skills and forecasting fashion trends in luxury footwear and leather goods business, crossed with her vast knowledge of materials and solutions to support the designers and brands. She will be teaching day 2 morning and afternoon.
Richard Siccardi is a Co-founder, project manager and customer relations from Studio Arise-s . Richard has a background in pattern making in a factory that manufactured products of Versace, Missoni, Max Mara, Mario Cerutti, etc. He also served as a collection developer in the factory, which produced for international brands such as Manolo Blahnik, Christian Loubotin, and many others. He also shared his experiences as professor in Ars Sutoria, a well-known pattern making school in Milan (with an outpost short courses in the USA as well) for years, and has taught over 1000 students from all over the world.
His specialty is very hands-on, product and design oriented, with attention to details, with immense knowledge in pattern making. Interpreting a design into a pattern, then into a product, he liaises between clients and factories to develop a footwear line. He’s your strongest supporter. He will be teaching Day 1 morning class.
