MARCELL MRSAN 003: One-day Footwear Technical Design & CAD Pattern Making

This is a one-day introductory hands-on course to CAD pattern making.

Using the mean form you made with the ruler, or with the basic class, you will then create a digital pattern using the Comelz Caligola4 design software on laptops we will provide during class, in a very hands-on way.

From the first lines to the finished printed pattern, participants will learn how to create classic men’s shoes patterns, such as derby and oxford, This course is for intermediate shoemakers/pattern makers who understands pattern making, and has knowledge of illustrator and/or comfortable with using a computer. 

The software is not something you may purchase on your own, but understanding how to use the software can enhance your pattern making methods and the knowledge will definitely add value to your portfolio, as biggest footwear companies have been using this software.
