MARCELL MRSAN PATTERNMAKING + GRADING BOOTCAMP

A one weekend, 2-day class

Priceless knowledge of pattern grading using the Patternmaking Ruler that Marcell Mrsan developed, together with the Pattern Grading ruler.

Both rulers and a handout for grading are included in the course price.

We will make a basic sneaker pattern the first day. With that knowledge, you can try to make another pattern of your own design, at home. The very next day, you can have feedback, if you wish!

Second day, we will take the first Pattern Standard, and learn how to grade it to ANY different size. You will come out of the class with the knowledge on how to do this, manually, as well as some demonstrations on the Footwear Patternmaking Software Caligola. Seeing the software, you can confirm what you did manually as well, which also adds to your knowledge of pattern-making: how does the industry do it? What kind of special parameters do they use?

It is also your chance to purchase some of his valuable tools- He will have a few rulers and templates, folding hammers, and any other handtools if you purchase beforehand, it can be hand-carried to this class for you too, as long as they are smaller tools.
